How often should I replace my brakes?
Brake pads should be replaced every 80,000 km. However, it may vary based on driving habits, conditions, quality of brakes, etc. We can inspect your brakes during routine maintenance and check whether they need to be replaced or not.
Why are my brakes squeaking?
Squeaking could be due to wear out of the pads or moisture and dirt build-up on the rotors. Get a mechanic to examine if the noises last for more than a week.
How often should I get the brake fluid changed?
It depends on the manufacturer and their specified interval. You might need an inspection periodically to see if it’s dirty and contaminated. We do conduct this inspection during our routine maintenance (as a part of Seasonal Service Special).
How do you know if your suspension components are worn?
You should get a mechanic to inspect your suspension if you notice your driving wheel is off-centered, misalignment, rough handling over bumps, leakage in the shocks, your car taking longer time to stop, or notice uneven wear on the tires.
Why do my tires wear out quickly?
There could be several reasons, such as driving conditions, misalignment, improper inflation, tire rotation (for front wheel or rear wheel drives), and more. The exact cause for premature wear on your tires can be known once they are physically inspected at our shop.
Can you replace run-flat tires with conventional tires?
Yes, as long as it fits well with your manufacturer’s specifications. Run-flat tires are designed to let you drive safely for a limited distance, even after a puncture. If you replace them, choose standard tires that meet the specifications of your manufacturer.
Why is preventative maintenance required and when should I be getting it?
Preventative maintenance is required to keep your car running safely, and efficiently and to prevent major issues in the long run. We recommend undergoing preventative maintenance once in 6 months or every 5000 km, and also if you notice signs of decreased performance.
What does a check engine light mean?
A check engine light could indicate a problem with your engine, transmission, or other components. It’s best to have one of our trusted mechanics inspect and diagnose the exact reason for the warning.
What type of oil do you use?
We use semi-synthetic or fully-synthetic oil depending on your vehicle’s type, and as recommended by your manufacturer. In addition, we use the BG products as additives to the oil change to ensure highest engine performance.
Is a fuel injection service necessary?
Getting a fuel injection service can retain engine performance and give longevity to the components, by cleaning the dirt and gunk that builds up over time. We might even be able to detect other potential problems during the process.
